Calling her one of the most versatile and prolific artists in history, Naidu highlighted that Bhosle’s voice transcended generations, languages, and musical styles. “Deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Asha Bhosle, a legendary and versatile Indian vocalist, and one of the most recorded artists in music history,” he said. Asha Bhosle passed away at the age of 92 in Mumbai after being admitted to Breach Candy Hospital due to a chest infection and exhaustion. Her demise marks the end of an era in Indian music, leaving behind a legacy that spans decades of iconic songs and timeless melodies.
