Chandrababu Naidu expressed deep sorrow over the passing of legendary singer Asha Bhosle, describing her voice as an “immortal legacy” that will continue to inspire generations. In an official statement released on Sunday, Naidu said her unparalleled contributions to Indian music have become an inseparable part of the country’s rich cultural heritage.
Calling her one of the most versatile and prolific artists in history, Naidu highlighted that Bhosle’s voice transcended generations, languages, and musical styles. “Deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Asha Bhosle, a legendary and versatile Indian vocalist, and one of the most recorded artists in music history,” he said. He added that her songs would continue to resonate across time, keeping her legacy alive in the hearts of millions.
The Chief Minister also extended heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and admirers across the world, acknowledging the profound impact she had not only in India but globally. Asha Bhosle passed away at the age of 92 in Mumbai after being admitted to Breach Candy Hospital due to a chest infection and exhaustion. Her demise marks the end of an era in Indian music, leaving behind a legacy that spans decades of iconic songs and timeless melodies.
