Chandrababu's Convoy Attacked By Angry Dalit farmers

AMARAVATI: TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu’s convoy was under attack by the Dalit farmers on Thursday. The angry farmers hurled stones and slippers at the bus in which Naidu was traveling. Police intervention stopped the farmers from entering the convoy. The farmers were allegedly backed by the ruling YSRCP.
Naidu was traveling to the capital city for the first time in 6 months since he lost power. He visited the place where PM Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for capital city Amaravati and offered his prayers to mark the beginning of his tour. Naidu, speaking to the reporters, claimed that he had roped in several multinational companies to make Amaravati, a global city. His presentations on the development of the area have attracted these global firms to come forward and invest in Amaravati’s development, Naidu said.
He also criticized YS Jaganmohan’s government for stalling the works in the capital city. He alleged that the investors were scared because of the torturous and vindictive policies by the ruling state government. He also said by ignoring the capital city is nothing but ignoring the future of the next generation.
He believes that a world-class capital city is only a solution to the state’s economic growth and his plans were crushed by the government. He said that he can acquire nearly 33,000 acres of land from the farmers without spending a single penny, which would be a world record. He also slammed the Jagan government for intentionally spoiling the capital city project. Senior party leaders Atchannaidu, P Narayana, Nara Lokesh, TD Janardhan, Devineni Umammaheswara Rao, GV Anjaneyulu, Prattipati Pullarao, Alapati Rajendraprasad, and others were also part of the convoy.
