Demolition of Praja Vedika Underway!
Demolition of a building ‘Praja Vedika’ which is adjacent to former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s residence on the banks of Krishna river is continued as the court rejected the plea to put a stay on the demolition.
After destroying boundary wall, pantry, dining hall, toilets and other structures on Tuesday night, the officials began to demolish the main building of ‘Praja Vedika’ built by CBN in 2017 to hold official meetings.
The demolition has started after CM Jagan’s meeting with District Collectors and Superintendents of Police.
Jagan said his government’s drive against unauthorized constructions will begin with the demolition of this Praja Vedika which has violated the norms because of the construction near river.
Reacting to Jagan’s decision, the TDP has called it vendetta politics, saying that the building was constructed by the government as per the rules and regulations.
