Goa CM Manohar Parikar dies after a long fight with cancer

Former Union Defence Minister and Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar passed away in Panaji on March 17, 2019, at his private residence at around 6 PM. He was fighting cancer and was making rounds to a hospital in Goa, Delhi, Mumbai and New York since Feb last year when he was diagnosed with a pancreatic ailment.

President Ram Nath Kovind tweeted saying " An epitome of integrity and dedication in public life, his service to the people of Goa and India will not be forgotten".

Everyone is mourning Goa CM's death and many leaders took to Twitter to express their condolences. Below are some of their tweets.
