Jagan trying to get full reimbursement of Polavaram Expenditure
The ruling government of Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has asked the center to fully reimburse the expenditure spent by the state government on the Polavaram irrigation project.
The state government spent nearly Rs 4,810 crore on the irrigation project. CM Jagan has directed the officials of water resources department (WRD) to attempt to get the full amount which was spent by the state government, from the center and also yield the prime concern for the completion of the project.
While addressing a review meeting on Monday, Jagan cleared it out that new fresh tenders should be considered wherever the costing exceeds the limit. For the fast completion and the precise use of the project, a revisit to the priorities should also be looked upon, Chief Minister, wants the state’s share of water of Godavari River to be used at maximum limits.
Increasing the height of Almatti dam can help in utilizing the waters of Krishna River, should also be looked upon by the Karnataka Government.
