KTR to Take Oath Later Due to KCR's Hospitalization
In light of his father and BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao's hospitalization, KT Rama Rao, the Working President of BRS, will defer his oath-taking ceremony as an MLA. Owing to his father's recent hip replacement surgery on Friday, KT Rama Rao was unable to participate in the swearing-in ceremony of MLAs at the Assembly on Saturday.
Expressing his circumstances, Rama Rao has formally approached the Legislative Assembly Secretary, seeking permission to take the oath on an alternative date. This request is in line with the consideration for the health condition of his father. Additionally, several other MLAs who faced similar constraints in attending the oath-taking ceremony on Saturday are expected to follow suit.
Rama Rao shared this information on a social media platform, expressing regret for his absence at the BRS Legislature meeting and the Legislative Assembly swearing-in event. He highlighted the medical condition of his father as the primary reason for his non-participation and mentioned that he, along with 4-5 other MLAs facing similar challenges, has formally requested the Assembly Secretary for a rescheduled date to take the oath.
