Mamata Will Not Attend PM Modi’s Swearing-in
On 30th May Prime Minister Modi will have an oath ceremony, of which the invitations have been sent. Initially, West Bengal chief minister was planning to attend the ceremony canceled the visit and announced it on Wednesday.
Mamata Banerjee released the statement on tweeter, she tweeted - so sorry Narendra Modiji, the media reports where BJP claiming that 54 people killed in political violence in Bengal are completely untrue, and this has compelled her not to attend the ceremony.
According to the claims by BJP, there was an invitation sent for the ceremony to Kin of 50 party workers in Bengal, who were killed in political violence.
She further tweeted that there were no political murders in Bengal. Those fights were inter family fights, personal enmity and other disputes nothing was related to politics, there was no such record with them of any type of political violence.
She added that the swearing-in ceremony on the 30th May is an auspicious occasion to celebrate democracy and that it should not be denigrated by any political party.
