Naidu Plans New Andhra Cabinet
Chandrababu Naidu, the TDP chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister-elect, is working on forming his new state cabinet. He may include a few members from the Jana Sena Party. The TDP Legislature Party will meet on June 11, and Naidu will take his oath on June 12. He will also attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony in Delhi.
Naidu had an informal meeting with senior party leaders, newly elected MPs, and MLAs at his Undavalli residence. He discussed the Union Cabinet and stated that TDP will be part of it this time.
TDP state president K Atchennaidu and MLC Yanamala Ramakrishnudu are expected to join the state cabinet. The role of Nara Lokesh is undecided; Naidu might assign him to party affairs to prepare him for future leadership. Naidu is considering including seniors and ensuring representation for SCs, STs, BCs, minorities, and women in the cabinet.
It's uncertain if Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan will join the cabinet or let others take the spots. However, Jana Sena's political affairs committee chairman Nadendla Manohar is likely to be included.
From the BJP, YS Chowdary, P Vishnu Kumar Raju, and Sathyakumar Yadav are potential state cabinet members. Chowdary won from Vijayawada West, Vishnukumar Raju from Visakhapatnam North, and Sathyakumar from Dharmavaram.
Meanwhile, political violence has been reported in various parts of the state following the election results.
