TDP Achieves Historic Milestone with 76 Lakh Membership Enrollments
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has declared the party’s achievement of enrolling 76.89 lakh members across the Telugu states as a historic milestone. He attributed the success to the collective efforts and dedication of the entire party cadre.
During a teleconference on Thursday with MPs, MLAs, MLCs, Parliamentary Party Presidents, and village-level activists, Naidu highlighted the overwhelming public trust in TDP, with one in every four individuals in Andhra Pradesh opting to join the party. The membership drive underscores the party’s robust grassroots presence and the enduring faith of its supporters.
Naidu also emphasized the welfare initiatives for party activists, announcing that over ₹135 crore was spent from the welfare fund. TDP is the only political party offering a ₹5 lakh insurance cover to members, with a membership fee of ₹100. Additionally, 685 individuals have opted for permanent membership by contributing ₹1 lakh each, demonstrating their long-term commitment to the party.
The Chief Minister revealed that the funds collected would be utilized for activist welfare programs. Constituencies like Mangalagiri, GD Nellore, and Pedakurapadu led the drive with the highest number of permanent members at 71, 38, and 37, respectively.
The membership enrollment campaign is set to conclude by December 30, with membership cards to be issued soon thereafter. Naidu commended the party’s activists for their dedication, reiterating that the historic achievement showcases the strength and unity of TDP’s cadre.
