Telangana: Attero To Invest Rs 600 Crore In Setting Up A Recycling Unit

A new facility for electronic waste recovery will be built in Telangana by Attero India, an electronic waste recovery company. As per IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao, the proposed facility will provide direct employment to over 300 people and indirect employment to many more.
“Happy to announce that @AtteroIndia will invest Rs 600 Crores in establishing a new facility in Telangana. The proposed facility will provide direct employment to more than 300 people and indirect employment to many more,” the Minister said in a tweet.
The new investment announcement comes soon after they attracted cumulative investments worth Rs 2,450 crore from 4 companies this month. These investments have the potential to create employment for about 6,500 people.
It also saw the foundation stone laid for 5 projects in the life science segment. These involve an investment of Rs 1,100 crore and can potentially create employment for 3,000 people at the Genome Valley.
The company specializes in recycling, upcycling, lithium-ion recycling, reverse logistics, consulting, and carbon footprint reduction. The company supports a circular economy. Additionally, Attero extracts precious metals, non-ferrous metals, and earth metals. Attero is the only producer of lithium, tin,cobalt, and rare metals that are otherwise not mined in India. Noida-based company uses advanced recycling operations to produce tin, making it India's largest producer.
