Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao Takes Oath as Member of State Assembly
K Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana and leader of the BRS (Telangana Rashtra Samithi), was sworn in as a member of the Telangana State Assembly in a ceremony held in the Speaker's chambers on Thursday. The Assembly premises buzzed with excitement as a large number of party supporters gathered to witness the event. Assembly Speaker G Prasad Kumar administered the oath to Chandrashekar Rao, who had been elected from the Gajwel constituency.
In attendance at the ceremony was Legislative Affairs Minister D Sridhar Babu. Following the oath-taking, Chandrashekar Rao met with party leaders in the lounge, including prominent figures like T Harish Rao, Patnam Mahender Reddy, Rasamai Balkishan, V Ravichandra, and others.
Chandrashekar Rao arrived at the Assembly with a walking stick, as he is set to undergo total hip replacement surgery due to an accident. He had contested elections from both the Gajwel and Kamareddy Assembly Constituencies, winning in Gajwel and losing in Kamareddy.
After taking the oath, the BRS chief departed for his residence in Nandinagar. His presence in the State Assembly reaffirms his commitment to serving the people of Telangana despite health challenges.
