Why BJP Choose Tamilisai as a Telangana Governor?
Since childhood, Tamilisai was so keen to join in politics, as she has been brought up in a political family. During her college days, she was selected as a student leader at Madras Medical College. Despite growing up in a Congress party family, She was attracted to BJP ideology and started working full-time politics with them and held various positions in BJP party.
She's one of the main supporters to BJP and also worked as a state general secretary and state vice president. She was also the BJP's first woman president. She was very combative and fought on many political rivals. She's also a translator for the speeches of its popular BJP national leaders during their visits to Tamil Nadu. Interestingly, most of the BJP cadres fondly call her as "Sushmaji Of Tamil Nadu."
We all know that India's largest party BJP had won 303 seats in 2019 Elections and earned massive popularity across the country. However, there was no BJP wave or Modi wave in Telangana. So, Eyeing power by 2024 in Telugu states, BJP planned to make a big push into the Telugu States.
From gender equality to women, BJP appointed Tamilisai Soundararajan as a Governor of Telangana, so she can give a tough time to KCR and the government in the coming days. To the fact, despite being in the power from the last 7 years, TRS party didn't even appoint a single woman as a minister. Rumors suggest that BJP wants to send clear signals of its intention to KCR.
But interestingly, though Tamilisai was much popular and active in the party, to her fate she has lost in all the MLA & MP seats of Tamil Nadu Elections from the year 2006 to till last 2019 Lok Sabha Elections. So, let's wait and see how she will handle the political rivals in Telangana.
