Chiefs Defeat The 49ers With An Epic Comeback
Champions have made it yet again. The Kansas City Chiefs showed a wild comeback after they defeated the San Francisco 49ers in a head-to-head at raucous Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and running back Damien Williams combined efforts led the Kansas city to finish over San Francisco with a 31-20 points victory, making them the first team in NFL history to win three games after trailing by 10 or more points in a single postseason.
Chiefs, who were rambling behind by 10 points were able to score three touchdowns in less than 6 minutes and took the game back from the 49ers. San Francisco quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo's inaccurate throws and inefficient drives made the 49ers lose their grip.
Mahomes, 24, became the Super Bowl most valuable player, one year after he had become the youngest player named league M.V.P.
Team coach Andy Reid made his first championship after a long career and the opposition coach Kyle Shanahan was reminded of bad memories of the Super Bowl three years ago when his Atlanta Falcons blew a 28-3 fourth-quarter lead and lost to the Patriots.
