Rishabh Pant equals AB de Villiers' feat : India VS Australia
Indian wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant on Monday equalled the world record for most catches in a Test match. Pant achieved the feat during the opening Test of the four-match Test series against Australia at the Adelaide Oval.
The 21-year-old equalled the previous record held by England’s Jack Russell and South Africa’s AB de Villiers of claiming 11 catches in a Test match.
Pant caught Mitchell Starc off Mohammed Shami’s bowling to achieve the feat.
Pant took six catches in the first innings and then grabbed five more in the second to share the record with De Villiers and Russell.
Before Pant, Saha held the record for most catches in a Test by an Indian Wicket-keeper,With 10.
Saha took 10 catches against South Africa during the Cape Town Test In January 2018.
