Telangana Swimmer Suhas Wins Silver at National Championships

Hyderabad: Telangana’s promising young swimmer, Preetham Mylari Suhas, secured a silver medal in the 100-meter backstroke event at the 40th Sub-Junior and 50th Junior National Aquatic Championships held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, on Wednesday. Suhas, clocking in at an impressive 58.85 seconds, finished second in a highly competitive field. Anupam Das Rishab from Maharashtra claimed the gold with a time of 56.89 seconds, while Jain Krish from Haryana took the bronze, narrowly behind Suhas with a time of 58.97 seconds.

The championship saw intense competition as swimmers from across the country vied for top honors. In addition to Suhas’s success, another swimmer from Telangana, Kumar TS Tejas, earned a bronze medal in the 50-meter butterfly event, further showcasing the state’s emerging talent in aquatic sports. The achievements of these young athletes not only bring pride to Telangana but also highlight the growing prowess of the state in national-level swimming competitions.
