The finisher in MS Dhoni is still alive - India beats Australia in 2nd ODI
Australia - 298/9
India - 299/4
After losing the 1st ODI, India seems to be back with yet another win against Australia in Adelaide. Virat Koli and MS Dhoni were the stars of the match who led India to the win.
Australia had won the match and decided to bat first. Setting up a target of 298, it was tough for India. Shaun Marsh's excellent century helped Australia score 298 runs. The start of Australia was not very good. But Shaun gave Australia a good start this time. Shaun made 131 runs in 123 balls with 11 fours and three sixes. Bhuvneshwar Kumar (4) and Mohammed Shami (3) got three wickets. Despite being a huge target Captain Virat Kohli's century and the Mahendra Singh Dhoni's ton boosted India's chances of winning the second ODI. With this victory, India has leveled 1-1 in the three ODI series. Dhoni once again showed that he is still a match finisher.
Chasing Australia's 299, India's openers started fast, but they could not build big scores. After Dhawan got out, Kohli came in to bat and he took the match formula in his hand. Kohli scored 39th ODI century in the match against Australia. Kohli scored 104 runs in 112 balls with five fours and two sixes. Although Kohli scored a hundred in this match, he could not seal India's victory. Mahendra Singh Dhoni scored 55 runs out of 54 balls with 2 sixes. It was a great match with last overs being the deciding factor.
