43 New COVID-19 Cases, 3 Deaths In AP In Last 24 Hours
The COVID-19 cases in Andhra Pradesh continue to shoot up as 43 new cases and 3 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours in Andhra Pradesh on Saturday.
This makes the overall tally rise to 1,930 in the state while the active cases slid below the 1,000 mark to 999 in Andhra Pradesh. Out of the new cases today, 26 patients are those who have returned from Gujarat while one is Karnataka returnee.
Currently, 52% of the patients are under treatment and 46% have recovered. The fatality rate of the State stood at 2%. So far,887 patients have recovered and were discharged.
Chittoor district saw a sudden spurt in cases, with 11 reported in the last 24 hours ending 9 am on Saturday as many who returned from the Koyambedu wholesale market in Chennai tested positive for coronavirus.
8,388 samples were tested in the state in the last 24 hours and 43 of them are detected COVID-19 positive. On the other hand, 700 migrant workers entered the state from different points without any permission or medical tests, officials said.
