70 Member List Ready, CBN to Announce Candidates
As the elections are over and new government is formed in Telangana, all the focus is now on Andhra Pradesh. Telugu Desam Party being the ruling party in Andhra Pradesh is all prepared with its leader Chandra Babu Naidu to announce the 70 crucial candidates for the upcoming general elections.
According to the sources, Naidu has worked on the candidates and finalized 60 to 70 candidates out of 175 constituencies and that he is planning to announce the candidates in January 2019 after Sankranthi.
Chandrababu Naidu is likely to announce the candidates in phases. After announcing the 70-candidate list, Naidu will announce a list of other candidates. It is known that the party leader Chandrababu Naidu is expecting the notification for the general election is likely to come out by the end of February or early March. He asked the party senior leaders to be prepared for elections at any given time.
Naidu interacted with over 10,000 party leaders through teleconference and instructed them to work together for the party in the upcoming elections irrespective of their differences.
Earlier Chandrababu criticized YSR Congress Party for celebrating TRS victory in AP. He questioned that how can YSRCP celebrate for TRS when they are the one that raised objection against special category status to AP. Naidu also stated that Jagan, KCR are all friends of PM Narendra Modi. With the general elections being around the corner, the political heat in AP is going to elevate.
