A lot can happen over a coffee : Vijay Shankar and Shubman Gill to replace Pandya and Rahul
The senior selection committee has decided to send all-rounder Vijay Shankar and batsman Shubhman Gill as a replacement to the suspended cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul. KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya have been suspended on the basis of gender bias comments on aTV show. Both players will return to India son. Their return tickets are also booked they are been dropped from the three-match ODI series against Australia. Vijay Shankar will join the team before the second ODI against Australia starts scheduled for Tuesday in Adelaide. In addition to the Australia tour, they will also be a part of India's New Zealand tour.
Shubhman Gill has been named in the squad for the one-day and Twenty-20 series in New Zealand. The 19-year-old Gil has been given a place in the Indian team for the first time. He had scored more than 1000 runs in 9 matches while batting brilliantly. Shubman continued to perform well in the Ranji Trophy, where he scored 790 runs in 10 innings at an average of 98.75.
