AP Crosses 17,000 Mark As 765 New Cases Register On Saturday
As many as 727 new cases were reported in Andhra Pradesh in the last 24 hours with 12 patients succumbed to the virus in the state, as per the data released by State Command Control Centre.
The spike on Saturday takes the tally across 17,000 at 17,699 while the death toll reached 218. Total 24,962 samples were tested in 24 hours by Saturday 9 am. Also, 311 patients recovered from it taking the total recoveries to 8,008.
Three each case were reported from Kurnool and Srikakulam, two each from Visakhapatnam and Chittoor. One case each was reported from Kadapa and Vizianagaram. Also, six foreign returnees were tested COVID-19 positive on the same day.
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh is 10th in the list of COVID-19 affected states in the country. Maharashtra continues to be the most affected state with 192,990 confirmed cases and 8,376 deaths.
