Aamir Khan’s Sportsmanship Shines After Slip During World Pickleball League Match
Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan won hearts at the World Pickleball League (WPBL) 2026 event in Mumbai on Saturday—not through a film role, but through his grace and resilience on the court. The 60-year-old actor was participating in an exhibition pickleball match with fans at the Jio World Garden when he briefly slipped and fell mid-play.
A widely circulated video shows Aamir lunging forward to return a shot before losing his footing and tumbling onto the court. However, the moment quickly turned inspiring as the actor got back on his feet with a smile, brushed off the fall, and continued playing without hesitation. His calm response drew applause from spectators and admiration across social media.
The exhibition match was part of WPBL’s ongoing season, which aims to popularise pickleball in India. The sport—a blend of tennis, badminton and table tennis—has been gaining momentum, with celebrities increasingly lending their presence to promote it among younger audiences.
Fans flooded social media with praise for Aamir’s fitness and positive attitude. Many highlighted his enthusiasm for staying active even at 60, while others applauded his humility and good humour. “At his age, many don’t even step onto a field,” one user commented, while another wrote, “Fitness goals, truly.”
Aamir’s appearance at the sporting event comes during a quieter phase in his acting career. He was last seen in a cameo in Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos and is currently backing Ek Din, a film starring his son Junaid Khan alongside Sai Pallavi.
Once again, Aamir Khan demonstrated that age is no barrier to enthusiasm, resilience, and sporting spirit—both on and off screen.
