Abdu Rozik Arrested at Dubai Airport Over Alleged Theft Charges

Popular Tajikistani singer and internet personality Abdu Rozik was detained at Dubai International Airport early Saturday morning, reportedly in connection with a theft allegation. The 21-year-old star, best known for his music, quirky personality, and appearances in reality shows, was taken into custody shortly after arriving from Montenegro. His management confirmed the arrest to Khaleej Times, stating that they are aware of the situation but unable to comment further on the nature of the charges.
Rozik, who stands just over three feet tall due to a growth hormone deficiency, is widely recognized across the Middle East and South Asia. A recipient of the UAE’s prestigious Golden Visa, he has been a resident of Dubai for several years and has built a multifaceted career spanning singing, boxing, entertainment, and entrepreneurship.
His rise to fame began with viral videos showcasing his unique voice, but it was his stint on Bigg Boss 16 that cemented his popularity in India. He later launched his restaurant brand “Habibi” in the UK and made his boxing debut in 2024 at Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena.
This isn’t Rozik’s first brush with controversy. In 2023, he was questioned by India’s Enforcement Directorate in connection with a money laundering investigation, though he wasn’t formally charged. Most recently, he featured in Laughter Chefs: Entertainment Unlimited alongside Elvish Yadav but exited mid-season, citing personal reasons.
The current arrest has sparked concern among fans, with many awaiting an official statement from Dubai authorities. Given Rozik’s high public profile, the incident has drawn significant media attention. Until more information is revealed, speculation continues, but supporters hope for a swift and fair resolution to the matter.
