Actor Vikrant Massey, renowned for his role in "12th Fail," embraced Islam.

Actor Vikrant Massey, known for his role in the film "12th Fail," recently made intriguing revelations. Massey shared that his elder brother embraced Islam at the age of 17, while his mother adhered to Sikhism and his father to Christianity.
Portraying the character of IPS officer Manoj Sharma in "12th Fail," Vikrant garnered nationwide acclaim for his performance. However, during a recent interview, he delved into his brother's religious conversion and his family's perspectives on faith.
While Vikrant's name might suggest Hindu heritage, his elder brother is named Moin, having converted to Islam at a young age. Vikrant explained, "My brother’s name is Moin. My name is Vikrant. And why is his name Moin? He converted to Islam. My family supported his decision."
Addressing criticisms within their extended family, Vikrant recounted, "Relatives chastised my father for permitting my brother's conversion. But my father stood firm, asserting his son's right to choose his path. This incident prompted me to reflect on the nature of religion, recognizing it as a construct of humanity."
