After India, US Plans To Ban Chinese Apps Including Tik Tok

After India, it’s United States who is now planning to ban Tik Tok and other Chinese apps. According to US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, US government is looking to completely ban Tik Tok and other chinese apps.

Pompeo said he and President Donald Trump are taking the reports seriously after he was told by the host that India had already banned the app and Australia is considering doing so.

Decisions were considered over this when US lawmakers raised national security concerns taking Tiktok stealing data. Domestic companies are required to oblige with norms such as “to support and cooperate with intelligence work controlled by the Chinese Communist Party.”

India, on 29 June banned 59 Chinese apps including Tik Tok and Shareit. Meanwhile, after that China-based ByteDance which owns the Tiktok has made the decision to exit the region following China’s establishment of a sweeping new national security law for the semi-autonomous city.

This move by India, with both the countries at row with each other at Galwan Valley in eastern Ladakh, has crushed China’s expansion plans in the South-Asian region.
