Alok Verma May Face Action - Despite his Rejected Resignation Does Not Show Up for Work
Alok Verma is back in news and this time with another tale. After being removed from the post of CBI chief and been transferred to the post of director-general of fire services, civil defense, and home guard, Alok Verma had submitted his resignation letter.
Rejecting his resignation, the ministry of home affairs (MHA) had directed Verma to take charge as director general of the Fire Services, Civil Defence and Home Guards on Thursday, on the day of his superannuation.
However, Alok Verna did not join the services as directed and in reaction to that Home Ministry has decided to take action against former CBI boss Alok Verma. He is likely to face departmental action which may include suspension of pensionary benefits, home ministry officials said. The sources said a departmental inquiry is likely to be initiated against Alok Verma.
