Andhra Girl Reunited With Family After 12 Years Thanks To Facebook

Credit goes to social media, a girl who went missing 12 years back in AP was finally reunited with her family. And appreciation goes to samaritan Mohan Vamsidhar, who searched for the minor's parents and siblings on Facebook.

The girl named Bhavani was detached from her parents at the age of 4 from Cheepurupalli in Vijayanagaram district. She was adopted by a woman who brought her up along with her daughters in Hyderabad.

Bhavani then landed in Vijayawada and starting working as domestic help for Mohan Vamsidhar. When he inquired about her background, she told him all about her past and said she memorized her parents as MadhavaRao, and Jayalakshmi and that she had 2 brothers, Santosh and Gopi.

Mohan then found Bhavani's brother on Facebook and called him over the phone. It was then Bhavani spoke to her family for the first time after 12 long years. Bhavani said that she is thrilled to go home to her parents.

Vamsidhar told ANI, he used to check the documents of people he hires. So, he asked the girl for documents to know her age. The girl told him she did not have any document as a woman adopted her when she went missing. He asked her, does she wants to connect with her real parents. She said — yes. Then he took details from her and started searching on Facebook'.

'I sent a message to some people. And one returned to my message. I took his details that matched the information provided by the girl. He then requested for a video call. Her parents later confirmed that the girl belongs to their family,' he added.
