Andhra Pradesh Unemployment Soars to 24%: Nara Lokesh Pledges Transformation
Andhra Pradesh faces a staggering 24% unemployment rate, the highest in the nation, as revealed by TDP General Secretary Nara Lokesh. He attributes this dire situation to the governance of Jagan Mohan Reddy's administration, which has left the state bereft of employment opportunities and its youth disheartened.
During his Yuva Galam Padayatra in Godicherla village, Lokesh engaged with female representatives from the Payakaraopeta Assembly segment. These women highlighted the pressing issue of security under the YSRCP rule and demanded swift action. They called for legislation mirroring the East Coast States model to ensure women's safety and requested employment training centers, subsidized loans, pensions for single women, and the introduction of the Pelli Kanuka (wedding gift) scheme.
Lokesh pledged to introduce the Maha Sakthi scheme upon TDP's return to power, a comprehensive plan that includes free bus travel for women, Rs 2,500 monthly financial assistance, and loans with substantial subsidies. He also vowed to incentivize women entrepreneurs and implement the Pendli Kanuka scheme.
In addition to addressing unemployment, Lokesh criticized the inefficiency of the current government in utilizing funds allocated by the Centre. He promised to establish a water grid for 24-hour safe drinking water access across the state. Furthermore, Lokesh expressed solidarity with Anganwadi workers, demanding fair wages and reduced workloads.
Nara Lokesh's commitment to transformation shines as he offers hope and solutions to Andhra Pradesh's pressing challenges.
