Another offer to end the shutdown - Trump to make an announcement on Saturday from White House
The shutdown of the United States Federal government which began on 22nd December has now been over a month and also the longest in the history. President Donald Trump while addressing the people from White House on Saturday has planned to offer another proposal to the Democrats to end the shutdown.
Although Trump won't be backing out on his electoral promises and his demands of building a wall, he plans to give other concessions to make Democrats ready for negotiations. However, on the other hand, Democrats have been asking the president to open the government first and then they can talk on any negotiations on the border's security.
White House press secretary Sarah Sanders, when asked by media about the announcement Trump, was going to make said that she will not shed much light on what Trump would say, declaring, “I’m not going to get ahead of the President.”The announcement will be made in the Diplomatic Reception Room at the White House.
