Avoid long queues for VoA in Thailand Airport

People who visit Thailand for tourism will take VoA(Visa on Arrival) in airport lining up in long queues. To avoid queues Thailand introduced e-visa which may cost up to Bhat 2,600 (nearly Rs 5900), higher than normal VoA fee (Bhat 2000 about Rs 4,540). The variation is Rs 1300 for each passenger.

New eVoA will be applicable from February 14. A VFS spokesperson said, “The total fee payable for standard eVoA service is Thai Baht 2,600. The eVoA (official standard travel authorisation from the Immigration Bureau of Thailand) is received before starting the journey within 24 to 72 hours.”

In order to increase tourism, VFS said, “offers travellers a whole new experience when applying for a travel pre-authorisation to Thailand and when entering the country at the Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports in Bangkok, as well as at Phuket and Chiang Mai airports flying by Thai Airways and other airlines.” Also added “EVoA applicants benefit from dedicated Immigration counters at major airports in Thailand to save time and experience a faster entry into Thailand. Due to the smooth online eVOA application process pre-departure, travellers don’t need to carry any physical copies like hotel booking confirmation or air-tickets, photographs etc. Since the eVoA fee was paid online, no cash in local currency is required at the immigration counter.”
