BCCI Donates Rs 51 Cr To PM CARES Fund
President Sourav Ganguly, Honorary Secretary Jay Shah, and Office Bearers of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) along with the affiliated state associations on Saturday announced the donation of Rs 51 crores to the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM-CARES Fund) to combat COVID-19 and to help Indians in this critical time.
The board also ensured the support to the government in all possible ways. Also, the BCCI said that it will monitor and work closely with the government. The outbreak of the coronavirus is the foremost health emergency, and everyone should take the responsibility to protect the people of the country.
As there are many poor people all over India, many celebrities including actors, cricketers, and politicians are making efforts to help them. Common people too are trying to help the needy in different ways. However, some people are demanding doctors and nurses to vacate the homes, in fear of the transmission of the Coronavirus.
There are actors who donated lakhs to crores to support the government and the people in hard times. Also, they are urging people to stay home to be safe and follow the government instructions to protect the country. As the country is in lockdown, many actors are giving ideas to spend time at home without getting frustrated.
