Breakout star of 'Euphoria,' Angus Cloud, passes away at age 25.
In the HBO series "Euphoria," Angus Cloud played the role of heroin dealer Fezco "Fez" O'Neill. Cloud just passed away. He was 25. Cait Bailey, Cloud's publicist, confirmed Monday that Cloud had passed away in his Oakland, California, home with his family.
In a statement, Cloud's loved ones referred to him as "an artist, a friend, a brother and a son.""He buried his father last week and has been struggling greatly with the loss," his relatives stated.
Our only solace is that Angus is back with his closest buddy and father. We hope that Angus's death will serve as a reminder to others that they are not alone in their struggle with mental health and that they do not have to do so in secret.
Before his role in "Euphoria," Cloud had never acted. Eleonore Hendricks, a casting scout, saw him as he strolled along a New York City street. At first, Cloud was hesitant since he thought it was all a hoax. After an interview with casting director Jennifer Venditti, Sam Levinson hired him as Zendaya's co-star for the show's first two seasons.
Some people thought Cloud was so convincing in the role of Fez that he really was Fez, although Cloud strongly denied this. When people say things like "It must be so easy!" it really gets under my skin. You may enter and be completely unfiltered. Why don't you just do it? I urged. Cloud told Variety that things are "not that simple." "I added a lot of substance to the role. You may think anything you want. I couldn't care less; it's none of my business.
Cloud's performance in this role catapulted him to fame on one of the most talked-about series on television. This year at the Tribeca Film Festival, he made his debut in a supporting role in "The Line," a collegiate drama starring Alex Wolff and John Malkovich. Co-star Cloud has just been added to the cast of "Scream 6." He has also appeared in Juice WRLD's, Becky G's, and Karol G's music videos.
Filming for the third season of "Euphoria" has not yet commenced. Angus was one-of-a-kind, as stated by Levinson in a press release. His death came as a shock since he was so exceptional and gifted, and so young. Addiction and melancholy were additional obstacles he had to overcome. I pray that he realized how many lives he changed
