CEO Denies Tampering of EVMs
Rajat Kumar, Chief Electoral Officer of Telangana, denied the allegations that Electronic Voting Machines are tampered with.
These are the claims being made as Lok Sabha polls are ahead, he said. I am aware of the functioning of EVMs and they cannot be tampered with at all, Mr. Rajat said.
He explained it was proved many times in London that EVMs cannot be tampered with. If an EVMs are not handled properly or shaken vigorously, it goes into the factory-mode settings.
Rajat Kumar said that NRIs could register themselves as voters but they should have to directly present at the place and vote.
Lok Sabha elections are expected to be held in April or June this year so the final voter rolls will be published on February 22.
