CRPF Jawan goes missing when travelling from J&K to Telangana

A 40-year-old CRPF jawan went missing under the mysterious circumstances from Telangana Express while travelling with the members of his battalion, since February 19.
Saldeep Kumar, a native of Swankha village of Samba district in Jammu and Kashmir, was travelling along with 13 other members of the 181 battalions, CRPF at Badgam in Jammu and Kashmir. On transfer to the newly raising 246 battalion CRPF in Ranga Reddy district, they boarded Telangana Express at the railway station in Delhi on February 19.
The battalion members reached Secunderabad Railway Station the next day around 8.30 pm. However, Saldeep Kumar was missing from the train. His colleagues searched for him at the railway station but could not trace him.
Based on a complaint lodged by the CRPF Assistant Sub-Inspector Arjun Dubey, the Secunderabad Government Railway Police (GRP) booked a missing case and flashed a message to all the police stations across the State to trace the jawan.
Secunderabad GRP Inspector K Adi Reddy said Saldeep Kumar was in contact with his colleagues till 11 pm on February 19 but was found missing the next day morning. His mobile phone was also switched off.
A request was also made to the Station House Officers (SHOs) in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra to verify if any missing person was rescued in their jurisdiction.
