Canadian PM Justin Trudeau’s Wife Tests Positive For COVID-19

The wife of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been tested positive for the novel coronavirus after she showed flu-like symptoms upon returning from the UK.

Sophie Gregoire Trudeau had returned from a speaking engagement, after which she started to show symptoms of the virus. However, the Prime Minister is reportedly in good health with no symptoms but will be kept in isolation for 14 days as per doctor’s recommendations.

“Following medical advice, she will remain in isolation for the time being. She is feeling well, is taking all the recommended precautions and her symptoms remain mild,” the Prime Minister’s office said in a statement.

Prime Minister’s wife herself took it to Twitter and wrote, “uncomfortable symptoms of the virus, I will be back on my feet soon,” she also said that conditions might be worse for the people who are facing more serious health issues and couldn’t afford for the treatment.

Looking at more than 130 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Canada, the Prime Minister will address the nationals tomorrow on the same.
