Chandranna back to cheap promises
Chandrababu Naidu, irrespective of his inability to fulfil previous promises, made another promise to provide SC status to converted Christians and declare December 24 as an optional holiday.
With elections around the corner, he made these promises while attending the Christmas Day celebrations by the State government and asked the Christian community to support TDP in the forthcoming elections.
He promised to support the Christian community until they were given SC status and to develop burial grounds for Christians with Rs 100 crores.
He stated that “For Christian Bhavan, we gave Rs 10 crores and two acres of land. We are now allotting additional six crore rupees as per your appeals.”
Despite the chaos in Andhra Pradesh after Chandrababu promised to provide reservations to the Kapu community, making such promises solely to retain power can lead to some serious repercussions in future.
