Congress Laying Strategies to Save Their MLC’s
In the wake of losing its leaders, the congress aims at relocating its MPTCs, ZPTCs councilors and corporators from Nalgonda, Ranga Reddy and Warangal local constituencies to a camp in order to save the cadre from ruling TRS.
One of the Congress leaders stated that the ruling TRS has been luring congress and TDP MLAs which resulted in the loss of the strength in the party. In the last three years, many of our MPTCs and ZPTCs have shifted to TRS and we don’t want to take any risk for the by-polls of three MLC seats coming ahead, the senior leader added.
Congress has won the MLC elections held in 2016, from Nalgonda Local authorities constituency. However, there seems to a lot of change since 2016 elections as the TRS swept the December-2018 Assembly elections which led in the huge float of Congress and TDP leaders running into the TRS home.
Congress is looking keen on climbing into victory with the MLCs fielded from the constituencies. Komati Reddy brothers are going all out to retain their hold in the entire district and got the approval of AICC high command to field K Lakshmi Reddy, wife of Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy Congress MLA from Munugode.
Keeping this in view, the Congress leadership wants to keep the flock together at a safe place to prevent poaching.
