Coronavirus Cases Cross 90,000 As India Records Biggest Single-Day Jump
India recorded the biggest single-day spike in COVID-19cases as around 4,987 cases were reported in the last 24 hours taking the Nation’s tally to 90,927.
A total of 120 deaths have been recorded in the last 24 hours which takes the total death toll to 2,872. While, 53,946 cases are active and 34,108 patients have cured of the disease.
Gujarat itself reported 1,000 cases in the last 24 hours attaining the second spot after Maharashtra to have reported the most number of Coronavirus cases. Meanwhile, The virus continued to rampage in Maharashtra, which saw 1,606 more infections and reported its highest single-day death toll of 67.
Tamil Nadu’s tally has crossed the 10,000-mark. The southern state recorded 400 new cases in a single day, Delhi has crossed the 9,000-mark in the number of coronavirus cases. On Saturday, the city reported 438 new cases. 129 people have died so far in the city-state.
Also, the total of coronavirus cases in India has crossed the number of cases in China. The total cases in India are close to 90,000 while China, on the other hand, has confirmed 84,031 cases of COVID-19 so far.
