Director Vijaya Bapineedu Passed Away
Filmmaker Vijaya Bapineedu had passed away today while taking treatment for age-related illness in the hospital.
He has worked with Megastar Chiranjeevi and Shobhan Babu mostly. His films Maga Maharaju, Khaidi No. 786, Gang Leader, and Magadheerudu became very popular at that time.
Vijay Bapineedu was born on September 22, 1936, to Seetha Ramaswamy and Leelavathy in Chataparru village in Eluru.
Before working as a director, he worked as an editor for entertainment magazine ‘Vijaya’. Till then he was well-known as Vijaya Bapineedu.
Vijaya Bapineedu directed 22 films and his last film was Kodukulu in 1998. He attended Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No 150 promotional event where he expressed his desire to direct Chiru movie one more time.
Unfortunately, he died before fulfilling his desire. We, at Teluguvoice, hope, this veteran director will rest in peace.
