Empowerment Pledges amidst Unmet Commitments: TDP-JSP's Tribal Employment Initiative

In a significant move, the TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, has unveiled plans within the TDP-JSP government to revolutionize employment dynamics in tribal regions, vowing to prioritize job opportunities for locals belonging to Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities. Lokesh emphasized a strategic approach to filling governmental vacancies by committing to issue annual job notifications.
During a series of 'Sankharavam' gatherings across Pathapatnam, Palakonda, and Kurupam constituencies in Srikakulam and Parvathipuram-Manyam districts, Lokesh underscored the unfulfilled assurances made by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy during his pre-election padayatra in 2019. Projects like the Bhogapuram airport, Ramatheertham project, and the interlinking of rivers Gosthani and Champavathi remain stagnant under Jagan's tenure.
Expressing dismay over the neglect of development endeavors in Vizianagaram district over the past half-decade, Lokesh juxtaposed it with the proactive initiatives undertaken by the preceding TDP regime. Notably, substantial investments totaling Rs 450 crore were channeled into the Thotapalli project, with funds earmarked for the construction of BT roads in 33 ST villages.
Accusing Kurupam YSRC MLA P Pushpa Sreevani of pervasive corruption, Lokesh pledged to address pressing concerns such as completing the Purnapadu-Labesu bridge and mitigating the wild elephant menace faced by farmers, alongside modernizing the Janjhavathi project.
