Forbes has revealed its 20th annual ranking of the world's 100 most influential women, celebrating the remarkable achievements of female leaders from various fields. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, aged 65, maintains her top position for the second consecutive year, highlighting her global influence. Notably, Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank, secures the second spot, while U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris remains firmly in the top three.
A significant addition to the top five is Italy's Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, aged 46, who ranks fourth. However, a historic moment unfolds as American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, aged 33, breaks barriers by claiming the fifth spot, marking the first time an entertainer has entered the top echelon.
Demonstrating India's rising prominence, Nirmala Sitharaman, a key figure in the Bharatiya Janata Party and India's Minister of Finance and Minister of Corporate Affairs since 2019, secures the 32nd position. Meanwhile, Indian billionaire Roshni Nadar Malhotra, Chairperson of HCL Technologies, maintains her powerful presence at 60th place, while Soma Mondal, Chairperson of the Steel Authority of India, and Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, a billionaire entrepreneur, secure ranks 70 and 76, respectively, in this prestigious list.
