From working in a hotel to zero box office failures, this Indian actress has had a dream run at the BO

The ‘Glitz and Glamour’ of the entertainment world has always tempted people to make a career in it. People from all walks of life try their hands in the different film industries of India. Everyone has his or her share of experiences and journey to live and foretell. However, only a few can make it big in the B-town.

One such actress is Vaani Kapoor. The 31 years old model turned actress has had quite a dream run on the box-office. Her latest release ‘War’ has been declared a blockbuster as it had put both domestic and overseas box-office on fire. In the career spanning over 6 years, she has never delivered a single flop.

Before coming to movies, Kapoor did her bachelor's degree in tourism studies from IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) followed by a brief internship with Oberoi Hotels & Resorts in Jaipur and then a job in ITC Hotels.

She then tried her luck in modeling which served as an entry ticket to Bollywood for her. Making her outstanding debut with the 2013 romantic comedy Shuddha Desi Romance opposite Sushant Singh Rajpoot, she played the lead in 2016 rom-com Befikre opposite Ranveer Singh. While she won the coveted Filmfare award for best debut for the former, the latter earned her immense appraise and love from the audience.

She also starred in the 2014 Tamil Language film Aha Kalyanam which is the official remake of the 2010 Hindi movie Band Baja Baraat. She reprised the role of Anushka Sharma in the movie. Aha Kalayanam too got a decent opening at the box-office.

Currently, she is filming for Shamshera in which she will be seen sharing the screen space with the very own rockstar of Bollywood Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt. Shamshera is slated to hit the theatres on 21st-July-2020.
