In the fourteenth meeting of Group of 20 in Osaka Japan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with world leaders. Ahead of G20 meet, he met with US president, prince of Saudi, Prime minister of Japan and BRICS leaders.
US India Bilateral, BRICS meeting and Bilateral with Kingdom of Saudi Arabia - In his meeting with US President, Prime Minister Narendra Modi discussed various bilateral and global issues including Iran, 5G communications networks, trade, and defense.
BRICS nations’ meeting ahead of the G20 summit was focused on terrorism where Modi pointed out that terrorism is the biggest threat to humanity. He also spoke about strengthening the WTO, ensuring energy security and fighting protectionism.
Meeting with the Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman was focused on deepening cooperation in trade and investment and counter-terrorism.
JAI Trilateral -
Prime Minister arrived in Japan on Thursday. Before the formal opening of the summit, Prime Minister held discussions with US President Donald Trump and Japanese premier Shinzo Abe. He tweeted later “Today’s meeting of the JAI Trilateral was a productive one. We had extensive discussions on the Indo-Pacific region, improving connectivity and infrastructure development. Grateful to PM @AbeShinzo and President @realDonaldTrump for sharing their views as well,"
G20 Summit -
Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe opened the meeting and all the leaders were seen smiling and doing friendly gestures. It is a two-day summit and main topics of discussions will be traded geopolitical tensions and climate change.
