Good News For IPL Fans

There is yet another good news for the fans of Indian Premiere League as they could be able to watch their favorite sportsperson on the field sooner.
The good news announced by the governing council chairman of Indian Premiere League, Brijesh Patel is that the 2020 edition of the tournament might shift to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the BCCI has requested the government of India for approval on the same.
Patel did not confirm the dates for the tournament, but the tentative dates hints at IPL getting a go in September. He also said that the BCCI had been waiting for the ICC to formally postpone the men’s T20 World Cup this year, which has happened now, and freed up a window for the tournament, so they could now possibly give their time in discussing the matter related to IPL.
The Indian board has seen quite a few of its international assignments being cancelled in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Starting with the limited-overs contest against South Africa in March, the BCCI has cancelled matches against Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe too.
Meanwhile, international cricket resumed with the England vs West Indies Test series in the United Kingdom early July. The England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is also set to host Pakistan from the first week of August.
