Good News For The Students Who Are Willing To Study In UK

The UK visa will now allow eligible students to work, or look for work, in any career or position of their choice, for two years after completing their studies.

Well, that is actually a piece of good news for students going to Britain for studying as the UK government on Wednesday announced the reintroduction of the two-year post-study work visa, expanding opportunities for talented international students to build successful careers in the country.

Currently, international students are only permitted to stay in the UK or up to 4 months after completing their graduation, these rules were introduced by Theresa May when she was the Home Secretary. The new strategy, announced by the Prime Minister, is really boosting up the appeal of Britain as a university destination for overseas students.

These new rules from 2021, international students who enroll in undergraduate, postgraduate or Ph.D. courses in the UK will be able to stay in the country for two years after they graduate. Even Universities appreciated the new rule. Indian students coming to study in the UK reached almost 22,000 in the year ending June 2019. This announcement follows the creation of a new fast-track visa route for scientists and the removal of the limit on Ph.D. students moving into the skilled work visa route, which collectively aims to cement the UK as a science superpower and a world leader in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) sector.
