Hyderabad Coronavirus Patient Recovering Well: Hospital

Telangana Health ministry has reported that the condition of the patient from Hyderabad who was admitted to an isolated ward at Gandhi Hospital is now stable and he is recovering well.

Vijay Kumar, state nodal officer for Coronavirus detection, said, “It is just a rumor doing the rounds. We are constantly monitoring his health and he is getting better.”

However, 88 people who came in contact with the Hyderabad techie have been identified, out of which 45 are being tested for COVID-19. Luckily, no one has so far been reported to be infected with the virus.

Police are monitoring the Bengaluru technician and people he came in contact with. Reportedly, the technician started to show symptoms of the virus on Monday. The affected person, now in Telangana, was working with a city-based software company and he had traveled to Dubai for a company meeting and interacted with software engineers from Hong Kong there.

Meanwhile, the state government is preparing itself for the virus outbreak. The government is getting ready with around 3,000 beds for the isolation of patients with suspected symptoms of coronavirus, while 250 to 300 beds would be arranged for treatment of positive cases, if necessary.

The government is also asking people to take necessary precautions like avoiding a visit to public places, using handkerchiefs, while sneezing and coughing.
