Hyderabad Man Attacked in Chicago: Wife Pleads for Assistance

In a distressing turn of events, Syed Mazahir Ali, a Hyderabad native, fell victim to a vicious attack and robbery in Chicago just two days ago. Presently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Chicago, his wife, Syed Ruquiya Fatima, has spoken out regarding the harrowing incident.

"My husband, Mazahir Ali, traveled to Chicago for his master's degree. He was brutally attacked on February 4th around 1 am. At around 6 am, I received a video of the attack via WhatsApp. He has sustained serious injuries, and the government there has not provided adequate treatment," Fatima expressed.

Fatima fervently appealed to the Indian government to ensure that her husband receives both medical and legal assistance in the United States. "I request the Ministry of External Affairs to expedite the issuance of an emergency visa for me so that I can be by my husband's side during this trying time," she implored.

Ali, originally from Hyderabad, is currently undergoing treatment for the injuries he sustained during the robbery incident. As his wife seeks assistance and support, the incident underscores the importance of international cooperation in ensuring the safety and well-being of citizens abroad.
