IONM workshop in Yashoda Hospital
Complex brain surgery, such as removal of tumours in the sensitive areas of the brain are risky. During surgery, it is possible to damage the important function of the brain such as speech, vision, hearing, motion, and facial weakness.
Doctors in Yashoda Hospital in Secunderabad said that intraoperative neuro monotherapy (IONM) system was thought to be intact in the brain, including the intraop3TMRI, besides complicated surgeries in the brain.
On Friday, an international conference on IONM and a live secretary opened in Secunderabad, Yashoda hospitals, which attracted over 400 Neurosurgeons and doctors.
"The damage to the important functions of the brain affects the quality of life, and the IONM improved safety and accuracy, along with the correct image guide in the Intrappo 3TMRI when performing complex surgeries," senior neurosurgeon Dr Anand Balasubramaniam said.
International Neuro Surgery experts Dr Vedran Deletis from Croatia, Dr K Park from South Korea along with Dr Sandip Chatterjee from, Yashoda Hospitals Director Dr Pavan Gorukanti, Senior Neuro Surgeons from Yashoda Hospitals Dr Anand Balasubrahmaniam, Dr BJ Rajesh, Dr Venugopal, Dr Ravi Suman Reddy, Dr Srinivas Botla & Neuroanaesthesiologist Dr Nitin Manohar were present in the inaugural event.
