In-Person US Tourist Visas To Resume From September

In what comes as good news for US tourist visitors is that they can get visas from this September! The United States has announced that is going to open In-person tourist visa appointments from September 2022.
The announcement relaxed the minds of people who are waiting to meet their children or relatives who are residing in the United States.
As previously scheduled placeholders have been cancelled now, they can now re-enter scheduling system to book regular appointments. Appointments have been opened through 2023. The US embassy also shared an official link for applicants to check the website for slots. Applicants after getting placeholder slots can get an emergency appointment for interview if they have a proper reason.
Also, the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is implementing premium processing for certain petitioners who have a pending Form I-140, Immigrant Petition for Alien Workers, under the EB-1 and EB-2 classifications. “For each category certain requirements are to be met,” USCIS confirmed.
