Jagan Asks Banks For Their Cooperation

Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and leader of YRSCP, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, on Tuesday, sought the cooperation of banks in the effective implementation of all welfare schemes in the state.

He addressed the 209^th State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC) meeting in the Secretariat and focused on the welfare schemes and development programs implemented to improve the standard of living for the people. For the benefit of people, especially farmers, the government has set-up ‘Rythu Bharosa’ centers in and around the village. It would guide farmers in selecting and providing the best quality seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides.

Reddy claimed that over Rs 15,000 crores has been transferred to the accounts of farmers, auto and taxi drivers, fishermen, weavers, agri-gold victims, and to the beneficiaries of the Law Nestham Scheme so far.

Meanwhile, In a day or two, he will inaugurate the Amma Vodi program, according to which, the government will see that parents, especially the mother who sends their child to school, will be provided with Rs.15,000 per month for the payment of school tuition fees.

He also said that banks should financially assist small-scale and medium industries in setting-up their businesses. Efforts should be made to revitalize accounts under the YSR Navodaya scheme.

He also made a sarcastic remark on the Naidu government, saying that the previous government had failed to implement the promises it made, but the present government was moving forward to implement all the schemes to uplift the downtrodden sections of the society.
