Jagan occupies CM office in State Secretariat and Expands Cabinet

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh holds his office in the State Secretariat in Amravathi on 8th June 2019. He arrived at the Secretariat at 8.39 a.m. followed by a warm greeting by the senior leaders and senior officials belonging to his YSR Congress Party (YSRCP). Jagan Reddy made an entry into his office amongst the carol of Vedic hymns conducted by an assembly of Hindu priests. After completing several rituals, he occupied his assembly room.
Jagan has been operating from his place of residence after taking oath on 30th May. He also enlarged his cabinet and selected 25 ministers that also included 5 deputy chief ministers. Among the 25 ministers, 8 were assigned to BC’s, 5 to SC’s and 1 is given to ST. Principal Advisor to Chief Minister Ajeya Kallam, Chief Secretary L.V. Subrahmanyam, Director General of Police Gautam Sawang, officials from Chief Minister’s office and many secretaries of different departments came there to greet Jagan Reddy.
After taking his chair, the CM signed his first document at 8.50 a.m, which was already declared as “Shubh Muhurtham”. He signed the other three files which are related to increasing salaries of Aasha workers to 10,000 INR, seeking allowance of the centre for Anantpur Express Highway and renewal of health insurance for journalists in the state. YSRCP came to power in the previous month, gaining a victory of 151 seats in 175-member Andhra Pradesh Assembly.
